J'étais tombée sur des images de graffiti sympa, je me suis amusée à essayer de faire un truc dans le style. Bon, sans couleurs et au crayon, ça rend de suite moins bien. Juste des gribouilles aléatoires, pas de mot caché dans ce fatras.

I once saw some nice graffiti images, I tried to do something in that style. With pencil and without colours it doesn't look really great. Just some random doodles, no hidden text in this jumble.

Théodebald était un Bombay, souple, fin et racé, aux yeux d'or, au poil d'un noir lustré et au QI de pois chiche écrasé.
Assis dans la cuisine, cela faisait dix minutes qu'il essayait de déterminer si la chose grise qui bougeait là haut était :
1) Un pigeon
2) Une souris
3) Une chaussette sale animée d'une vie propre
Ça ne roucoulait pas. Mais ça ne couinait pas non plus. Ça semblait duveteux, mais sa myopie l'empêchait de déterminer clairement s'il s'agissait de plumes, de poils ou de laine tricotée. Ça paraissait informe et ça sentait fort le vieux pied. À moins que l'odeur ne vînt du machin jaunâtre auquel la chose grise semblait s'intéresser.
Théodebald essayait de se souvenir des leçons de sa mère. Ne pas manger la litière. Fuir les souris et attaquer les chiens. Ou l'inverse. Malheureusement, il ne se souvenait d'aucune leçon sur l'attitude à adopter face à une chaussette odorante tentant de s'accoupler avec une éponge à vaisselle.
Lassé d'une réflexion trop intense, il préféra une retraite discrète vers le salon où il restait encore un petit morceau du canapé en cuir à gratifier de la caresse de ses griffes.

Sitting in the kitchen, he was trying for ten minutes now to find out if the grey thing that was moving up there was:
1) a pigeon
2) a mouse
3) an dirty sock brought to life
Well, it didn't coo. But it didn't squeak either. It seemed downy, but his myopia prevented him from telling if it was feathers, hairs or knitted wool. It seemed shapeless and it smelled strongly like old foot. Unless the smell came from the yellowish doodad that the grey thing seemed to be interested in.
Theodebald tried to remember the lessons from his mother. Do not eat the litter. Run away from mice and attack dogs. Or the opposite. Unfortunately, he couldn't remember any lesson about what behavior to have in front of a smelly sock trying to mate with a kitchen sponge.
Bored by that too intense thinking, he prefered to retreat silently to the living room, where there was still a little part of the leather couch to 'gratify' with the strokes of his claws.

(I hope there's not too many mistakes in the translation...)

Some kind of triskele tattoo designs done this weekend. Draft on paper, then vectorisation with Inkscape.
Des sortes de motifs de tatouages de triskels faits ce WE. Brouillon sur papier, puis vectorisation avec Inkscape.

And a hand drawn triple triquetra (well, actually, it's one triquetra interlaced with a double one), because it turned out to be almost impossible to do it on Inkscape without the sudden urge to smash one's own head onto the keyboard.
Et un triquetra dessiné à la main (en fait, un triquetra simple entrelacé avec un double), parce qu'il s'est avéré presque impossible de faire ça avec Inkscape sans être pris d'une furieuse envie de taper sa tête contre le clavier.

Triskel (tattoo-inspired) - done

Ayé, fini le triskel façon tatouage avec bidules biseautés et entourage étrange \o/. Je me rends compte que la forme du truc est assez bizarre, hmm, si c'était fait pour être un vrai tatouage ça pourrait peut-être aller sur une cuisse/fesse, mais là c'est juste fait pour rester sur un bout de papier.
D'ailleurs, la texture du papier rend pas super au scan, j'ai essayé de flouter un peu, c'est 'moins pire' mais pas encore génial.

Yeah, I finished the tattoo like triskel with beveled things and strange borders \o/. Now I realize that the shape of the drawing is kinda weird, hm, if it was made to be a real tattoo I suppose it could go on a thigh/bottom, but so far it's only supposed to be on a piece of paper, so no excuse.
A piece of paper with grain, even... The scan looked awfully grainy, I tried to blur a little the image, without much success.

Triskel WIP

Encore un truc inspiré par certains tatouages - je crois que je suis devenue fan de l'effet biseauté, c'est grave docteur ? D'un autre côté je maitrise pas encore trop les ombrages sur ce genre de chose, mais je me dis qu'a force ...
Je me suis amusée à prendre en photo les étapes. C'est un "travail en court" vu qu'il manque encore le fond du truc, je ferais un scan propre quand j'aurais fini.

Once again something inspired by some tattoos - and I think I'm a fan of the bevel effect :) Anyway, I'm still not very good at shading those kind of things, but maybe if I keep trying...
I took some steps in photo. It's still a Work In Progress as the background is missing, I'll do a clean scan when I finish it.

C'est le genre de truc qui arrive quand on passe trop de temps à regarder des galeries de tatouages ... on mélange tout et fait n'importe quoi. Pauvre petite hirondelle :)

Biomecha bird? - This is the kind of thing that happens after looking a tattoos galleries for too long ... It ends with a mix of everything, creating a nonsensical image. Poor little swallow :)

This is a totally not interresting message, sorry.
I'm just indexing some of my flickr photos, as flickr doesn't index anything beyound 200 images for free accounts (which is a kinda strange limitation, especially since it's still allowed to access the images with their exact URL, and also since even the owner of the images can't access them anymore if he/she didn't saved the URL of the photos somewhere.)
I'm pretty sure this limitation didn't existed when I joined flickr, and I didn't pay attention to it when my 'pro' account expired, Oops :). . Anyway... thanks to Google cache I managed to get the URL of the lost photos.
